Conveyancers on Absa's Panel: Approved Attorneys for Property Transfers & Bonds
Absa Bank's panel of conveyancers consists of approved legal firms that handle property transfers, bond registrations, and related services. Below is a list of firms that have publicly stated their inclusion on Absa's panels. Note that panel status may change, so verify directly with Absa or the firm for the latest information. When you approach a conveyancer (even ones listed on this webpage), ask:
- “Are you currently on ABSA’s conveyancing panel?”
- “If so, can you confirm the branch or region coverage?”
That way, you don’t fall in love with an attorney’s mahogany desk only to find they can’t handle your bank’s home loan registration.

How to get ABSA’s official conveyancer list
Banks keep their conveyancer panels private to avoid outdated info circulating online. ABSA staff can email you the latest Cape Town panel names if you:
- Call ABSA Home Loans — 0860 111 007 (within South Africa) and request the conveyancing panel for the Western Cape.
- Visit an ABSA branch — Business bankers and home loan consultants can print the updated list for you.
- Ask your bond originator (e.g., ooba, BetterBond) or estate agent—they work off the latest bank panel lists daily.
- You can only email ABSA Home Loans at homeloans@absa.co.za
if your email address is on its list of allowed senders. In your email, specify you are looking for ABSA’s panel of conveyancers for Cape Town.
How to get on Absa's panel of conveyancers
The banks only look favorably on applications if the firm has:
- the capability to deliver in line with their demands
- sufficient capacity
- a BEE rating of Level 1 or 2.
If the firm meets that threshold it would need to engage with Absa staff who have the power to appoint firms to their panel.
