Arrange lodgement | Conveyancing terms
In conveyancing parlance, to "arrange lodgement" means to get relevant documents ready for submission and then to submit them to the Deeds Office to formally record or transfer property ownership. To arrange lodgement, the Transferring Attorney arranges with the linked transactions to get the batch together. The Clerks of the linked Bond and Bond cancellation meet at the Deeds Office and hand their documents to the Clerk of the linked Transfer, who hands the batch in at the Lodgement Counter at the Deeds Office. The documents get scanned in and allocated to a Junior Examiner. Click here to see the cost of arranging lodgement at the Deeds Office.
