The transfer duty estimates are based on the SARS transfer duty rates applicable from 1 April 2026 on non-VATable property purchases. The conveyancing fees are as per the Law Society of South Africa guidelines for fees for conveyancing of conventional deeds, effective from 1 August 2025. The Deeds Office fees are based on those published in the Government Gazette to be applicable from 1 Apr 2026 to 28 Feb 2027, for the registration of a transfer (ie no bond fees are allowed for); to which VAT at 15.0% is allowed for.
