Dear Mr. Morton, Thank you for meeting with us today to discuss my son Quinn’s situation. I truly appreciate your openness and the support Cannons Creek has provided our family. Quinn is a sensitive and wonderful person who, like me, isn’t naturally gifted in sports. I’m concerned about the emotional impact of the sports arrangement, specifically the disappointment of not qualifying for the squash team, a sport he loves, and the requirement to play hockey, a sport he strongly dislikes. Quinn has been tearful when discussing this, including last week, and I worry that forcing him to participate in hockey could lead to increased stress or disengagement, potentially affecting his mental well-being and school experience. While I understand the hockey team’s need for at least 11 players, I kindly request that we delay enforcing Quinn’s participation until we can further explore the mental health impact of this requirement, perhaps with input from a school counselor. I’d also appreciate hearing how your discussion with him goes. I regret raising the idea of a refund during our discussion; it distracted from the real issue — Quinn’s well-being. I apologise and hope we can focus on supporting him through this challenging time. Thank you for your understanding and commitment to Quinn’s well-being. Sincerely, Rob
